Fifty GBQT men from across the state and beyond celebrated Colorado ManREACH’s 10th Anniversary at the Cal-Wood Retreat Center in Jamestown, June 19-22, 2014. Good friends and new friends, including men from Florida, California, Hawaii and Canada, reaped the benefits of a heart-centered community, reveled in our individuality and hugged each other like there was no tomorrow. See over sixty color photos of the gathering here!
Workshops and activities at the event included Gay Jeopardy!, We’ll Just Have to Improvise!, Spirituality and Gay Men, a Conversation in the R.A.W. (Real Ass World) and a hike to Longview for an incredible view of Longs Peak. At the “official” 10th Anniversary Celebration on Saturday night, Colorado ManREACH founders Bob Bobgiovanni, Bill Blackburn and Craig Chapin (without co-founder Jeff Basinger) shared the roots and history our community, and many community members were recognized for their years of ongoing support. An after party followed.
Colorado ManREACH’s 10th Anniversary Celebration will continue at the upcoming Summer Gathering at La Foret Retreat in the Black Forest north of Colorado Springs, Thursday-Sunday, August 28-31, 2014. Come join the circle – and bring a friend!
The mission of Colorado ManREACH is to build heart-centered connections and community among gay, bisexual, queer and transgender men in the rural, mountain and frontier regions of Colorado. Gatherings are made possible by your private donations, the Colorado Health Foundation, the Gamma Mu Foundation, King Soopers Neighborhood Rewards, the Denver Cycle Sluts and a great group of volunteers. Thank you!
