Opportunities for Involvement

Colorado ManREACH has several volunteer committees that work together to further the organization’s mission and vision. The committees provide year round opportunities for men to use their skills, knowledge and experiences to help build heart-centered connections and community for gay/bi/queer men throughout rural Colorado.

In addition to the committees, each Colorado ManREACH gathering needs volunteers to assist with a variety of tasks from decorating the facilities to helping prepare meals to housekeeping. ManREACH also is always on the lookout for individuals who would like to host educational workshops and/or coordinate recreational activities at these events.

Steering Committee

The Steering Committee is the guiding force and decision-making body for Colorado ManREACH. Four officers and a representative from the Governance Committee serve on the Executive Committee.

Steering Committee members: Ross Barnhart, Jeff Basinger, Greg Bruny, Kenneth Camp, Craig Chapin, Charles Fletcher, Larry Jakubiak, Matthew Raschke, Richard Rivers, Bruce Stueben, Keary Suska, Scott Vosburg.

Executive Committee members: Craig Chapin (Co-Chair), Greg Bruny (Treasurer), Ross Barnhart (Secretary), Keary Suska/Jeff Basinger (Governance Committee representatives).

Finance Committee

The Finance Committee manages all financial aspects of Colorado ManREACH, including the development of an annual operating budget and distribution of funds.

Governance Committee

The Governance Committee oversees the development and implementation of ManREACH policies and procedures, including all issues relating to the creation and management of Colorado ManREACH, the 501(c)(3), tax-exempt, non-profit organization.

Marketing Committee

The Marketing Committee works to promote the mission and goals of Colorado ManREACH through outreach and communication, including the ManREACH newsletter and website.

Marketing Committee members: Richard Rivers (Chair), Craig Chapin, Eddie Gonzales, Keary Suska, Scott Vosburg.

Programs Committee

The Programs Committee plans and coordinates all workshops and activities for the Colorado ManREACH statewide gatherings, including the Opening and Closing Circles, the Creating Community Celebrations, the Circle of Friends events and presentation of the MGroup curriculum.

Research and Evaluation Committee

The Research and Evaluation Committee collects and reviews participant surveys and demographic information to determine whether or not Colorado ManREACH is achieving its goal, specifically changing attitudes and behaviors that will lead to a reduction in STD/HIV transmission and infections.
