Your Community Needs Your Support
Colorado ManREACH had a very exciting and rewarding 2007. Last summer, nearly 100 gay/bi/queer men attended two statewide gatherings designed to promote heart-centered connections and community in rural Colorado.
ManREACH also received its federal, tax-exempt status, and now is recognized as a 501(c)(3), non-profit, educational organization.
In 2008, Colorado ManREACH will host three multi-day gatherings, including its first regional gathering on the Western Slope, June 27-29, at Stone Forest Lodge in Cedaredge. Two statewide gatherings also will be held,
the first on July 25-28, at the Cal-Wood Retreat Center near Boulder, the second September 5-8, at La Foret Retreat in Colorado Springs.
Also in 2008, ManREACH will debut its new, improved website, still located at www.manreach.org. The site will include a quarterly webletter, articles written by community members, links to community resources and additional
information designed to keep us more connected and better informed. This year, too, ManREACH plans to begin expanding its existing financial support base in order to provide additional services that reflect the needs of the
ManREACH community, including a variety of educational workshops at the statewide gatherings.
Since the community’s inception in 2003, Colorado ManREACH has been funded primarily through a grant from the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (additional funding has been provided by the Telluride AIDS
Benefit and private individuals). With government funding always in question, however, ManREACH believes it would be wise to work toward expanding and diversifying its sources of funding, thus the recent change from a state
health department program to non-profit, educational organization.
As you review your personal giving opportunities for 2008 and beyond, we ask that you please consider making a tax-deductible contribution to Colorado ManREACH. Many of you who are reading this have benefited from your
association with the ManREACH community, and your financial support will help extend those benefits to other gay/bi/queer men around the state. Thank you.
For more information about making a tax-deductible contribution, please feel free to contact us.
Sincerely,
The Men of Colorado ManREACH
